New Covers 2025
In 2025, I worked with Damonza, cover artists based in New Zealand to create a new set of covers for the Dodecahedral series.
The first design was for Born of Empire and I wanted to show
Guy fighting with his matching blades. The original designs were very scary so we added an aura to indicate these are blunted blades, used for training.
The second was Son of Empire and Teodor, if you look closely you can see the golden handles of Teodor's distinctive blades. He wears his distinctive colours Silver and Red. So of course his blades would be red.
On the cover of Soldier of Empire, I wanted to show Teodor in his first encounter with the Queen of Spiders, Charliki. At the start of Soldier of Empire, Teodor hosts a ball onboard his Dragon spaceyacht the Marsea, so when his ship is attacked, he escapes in his finest Imperial uniform, and this will be all he has to wear for the next six months - unless...
On the cover of Captain of Empire, I wanted to show Guy Erma who is given a new rank and speedbike on Tomas's orders to find Teodor. Tomas would prefer Teodor to be dead, as he makes clear to Guy. But Guy has other plans, he had heard of the mythical Spider Riders of Sas Darona, and he is determined to find them...
