The visual world of the Dodecahedral Empire began taking shape in 2014, long before the current editions of the novels.
Character Artwork
Lazar developed characters, architecture and technology—from Guy Erma and Prince Teodor to the great glass Dome, the Dome Militant, Battle Borgs and the distinctive blades of its fighters. His work combines science fiction with Art Deco and retro-futurist influences.

The story of this collaboration, together with concept sketches, finished illustrations and commentary from the artists, was collected in The Art of Guy Erma and the Son of Empire.
